Swim to Survive
at Genesis Place
Swim to Survive is a participation based program through lifesaving society designed to work on basic swimming ability through three skills: roll into deep water, tread water for 1 minute and swim 50 meters. This program is open to new swimmers and experienced swimmers!
DetailsSwim to Survive is different than regular swimming lessons, and not a replacement for them. Swim to Survive teaches the necessary skills to survive an unexpected fall into deep water. The program will provide a certificate to each student, this is in reach to all students! This certificate will recognize your child has achieved the swim to survive standard, has achieved the swim to survive standard in a lifejacket or has practiced the swim to survive skills. Due to the nature of the program, attendees will be separated based on swim ability rather than age, upon registration please choose a time slot for your students that appropriately matches their swimming ability. Students will be divided into skill level to complete the program. A swim assessment will be conducted on the first day and this may determine which time slot your child continues on to for the duration of the 4 sessions.
