Arctic Exploration Class
Join us for a fun 6 week hands-on class where we will be exploring the fascinating land of the arctic and the amazing creatures that survive and even thrive in such extreme conditions.
We are going to have a great time making our own version of the Arctic, I hope you’ll join in the fun! DetailsThroughout the six weeks we will be constructing a very cool diorama with some of these unique animals. We will learn about the arctic fox, adorable puffin and the majestic polar bear. We will have fun making a playful penguin with beeswax clay and discover if penguins and polar bears live together or if they just both love the ice. We will take time to admire the beauty of the Aurora Borealis and paint our own version of this natural wonder. Of course we will need to learn what kinds of animals can survive in the frigid waters of the arctic, creatures like walruses, Beluga whales and seals, then we will try our hand at sculpting them. Important: We will be using a variety of mediums to create our projects as we explore the arctic so wear clothes that can get a little dirty Grades 1 to 6
