Fitset Ninja for K to Gr. 12
Would you like to be a ninja warrior? Come enjoy fitness, and challenge yourself at Fitset Ninja. We have five weeks of coach-led classes on Wednesdays at 1:00pm - 2:30pm, beginning September 11. This class is intended for Kindergarteners through Grade 12's, all skill levels welcome! Fitset Ninja will divide our group up into age-appropriate classes with the same weekly coach for each group, and build a progression of ninja skills. The last day will be a fun culmination of what kids have learned in a Fitset Ninja competition! It's going to be awesome!
DetailsParticipants should bring a water bottle, wear comfortable clothing, tie hair back, and wear clean indoor runners.
There are bleachers available for seating if parents choose to stay and watch. Parents are also welcome to use the small toddler area in front of the bleachers for younger unregistered siblings. Parents are responsible to supervise and keep everyone who is not registered off the equipment. We are so excited to offer this activity. Baking Lessons
at Dutch Delicious Bakery
During these two fun-filled classes, Dutch Delicious Bakery will cover various aspects of baking, and will show kids several machines in the bakery. Students will learn together how to shape & roll pizza dough and cinnamon knots and try their hands at decorating pastry. Kids may go home with a small treat bag of what they’ve made in the class, if they haven't eaten it all!

Ukulele Lessons

Who doesn't love the Ukulele? Come have some musical fun!
Over eight weeks, students aged 6-8 will enjoy high-quality Ukulele fun with Cameron Herron, an experienced Yamaha Method ukulele, guitar and bass teacher. Students will learn technique, note reading, chording and more using folk and popular songs: perfect for this cheerful instrument. Think Ukulele choir/band - it will be a fun, hands-on small group environment to build friendships and enjoy the gift of music. This Ukulele course will get students on their way to providing musical entertainment wherever they go. Ukulele is a great instrument for all ages, but especially children as the size makes it easily accessible. ACA@Home is thrilled to offer this class with YaMusic! DetailsParents are encouraged to attend and sit with their child. Younger siblings are welcome to come and bring a quiet activity like colouring to do sitting with parents or on the floor.
Classes run for 8 weeks from September 13 to November 1, for one hour (12:30 pm-1:30pm). Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure your child gets settled in time to enjoy the full hour of music together! You have the choice to bring your own Ukulele or purchase a Ukulele from YaMusic. Classes are run out of the YaMusic studio (2435 90b St SW #202, Edmonton, AB, Canada) and are capped at 8 participants - register soon to get your spot! Ages 6 to 8

Guitar Lessons

Who doesn't love guitar?
This course is perfect for the beginning guitarist. Over eight weeks, students aged 8-12 will cover all the basics needed to start playing their favourite songs, including note reading, chording, picking, and other techniques. This class will be taught by Cameron Herron, an experienced Yamaha Method guitar, ukulele and bass teacher. Think guitar band - this will be a fun, hands-on small group environment to build friendships and enjoy the gift of music. Students will be exposed to different styles as they progress through this course. ACA@Home is thrilled to offer this class with YaMusic! Students will need to bring their own guitar. If you do not have one, please arrange to rent one. Guitars are available in 1/2 or 3/4 size and Long & McQuade Music is a reasonable option for rentals.
